In good company with Richard Prince (look him up), we decided to play around and take this idea of appropriation and use it to sort of challenge/play around with this notion of authorship. Just for fun. So we looked through some books of some of our favorite people, and decided to re-photograph Richard Kern's (another richard) photos and make them our own. It's funny because it's from his book Digital, and the way we cropped it, edited it and photographed it kinda makes it looks like film. Weird. But yeah.....just killing time, that's all:

From all of us here at MC, (and maybe speaking for many others out of jealousy) we just want to say this to you:
there's something about asian people being able to pull off whatever they want. it's like playing dress up for them all the time, and for some reason, it's completely acceptable. no matter how old they are. there has to be a loophole. there has to be a moment where they don't pull off something! if anyone knows, let us know:
ahh, the fourth of july. fireworks, ice cold beers, backyard grills.. good times. the thought of it really does get us excited. ultimately, we just had a blast with the people who make us who we are.
