where do you go to my lovely....

soooooo good. i don't know why people don't make music like this anymore. well, some people do, but you know.....with the lack of nostalgia and novelty in a strange sense. but yeah......at this moment, Peter Sarstedt is making today feel better to us than anyone else.

this song is used really well in Wes Anderson's short film Hotel Chevalier which accompanies The Darjeeling Limited, so go peep it son.

oh yeah.....and in our car, this is the jam:

Ohhh how we want M.I.A. so bad. Paper Planes and Jimmy are probably the best songs on Kala, which is actually a sample from The Clash's classic "straight to hell":

speaking of new albums, you can get the new Radiohead album In Rainbows for free, or whatever price you want to pay on their site:

They're letting their fans pick the price they want to pay for their new album, which is pretty amazing marketing, and i think the first band to ever do that, which seems like it is giving new hope to saving music or changing the way we think about the costs of it and such. I guess that's what happens when you're one of the greatest bands ever. EVER. so yeah, you should go and do that...and don't forget to go to Mute tonight and to Plush on Sunday!!

xoxo
